The is clean, function and has such slendid style! Love it to bits and pieces! What is that texture on the walls? It almost looks like fine linen wallpaper. I am very picky with wood staining and this is darn near perfect. Not too red or too dark, the black steel accents makes it look real snazzy. gotta love the steps, storage/desk/closet layout.
With such places like this, I would not even think on going to a hotel or motel.
The pics about dont show it, but the sky window leads to roof seating. I wonder how you get up there. the site doesnt show it. A pic of the full bedroom loft would have been nice.

The only thing they need to do is landscaping. The yard is boring and a bit nasty looking.

    • Robert says:

Yeah, the yard is a work in progress. We’ve got a nice gravel walkway now and the yard is filled with wildflowers at the moment. When we’ve got a little cash we’ll do some nice fencing and put down some turf.

What a darling tiny house I like tubs rather than a shower more relaxing but what a cute b& b it would make the woods so warm like a beautiful cottage b& b love great job good luck

Hello, I’m a new subscriber here. I just want to know if there’s a water storage for this tiny house?

    • Robert says:

There is not. I was fortunate enough to be in a situation where I have a water hook-up and sewer access, so it is plumbed conventionally.

    Hi Robert,

We are fellow Oaklanders and we were thrilled to see your beautiful tiny house and thriving airbnb. We are currently designing our garage renovation and would be so grateful for the opportunity to ask you a few questions in a brief phone conversation. Let me know if you’d be willing and the best way to contact you. Shyamala

I would be happy to chat! Working on a friend’s cottage in Berkeley right now in fact. If you link through to the air bnb page you can contact me there.

Great job, it looks so comfortable. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks! The guests have all said how much they enjoy it, especially the roof deck. It’s a king sized memory foam mattress (better than my own frankly) and everyone raves about what a good sleep it is. Plus, for being in the middle of the city I’m told it’s a very quiet retreat.

OK functionally as a guest house. not so good for full time living, as there is little storage and the tiny bar sink is too small to wash a dinner plate or a kettle. the stairs are attractive and appear to be comparatively safe. Visually very attractive. I hope this is a profitable venture for robert.

    • Robert says:

At 18′ it makes a pretty good guest house, and the rental is paying the mortgage on the big house, so it was definitely worthwhile. The one I build this summer will be intended for full time living.

Hallo, there just wanted to send you a small email just to let you know, I really really love the interior of Your Tiny guesthouse. It’s has a warm atmosphere with the dark wood. Also the classical and some what more industrial details make the space very nice for aswell woman as man I think. Original, simple, charming space to live in. Many kind regards from Belgium:) , anouk
