Here are some pics of my tiny log cabin in Bella Coola BC. Built from fallen trees, a tarp and moss.
I built this cabin which is my home away from home. It sits next to the Salloompt River far from any road or house.
By the way – your website is wonderful and inspiring. I hope my pics inspire someone to build there own tiny cabin!
A small cabin with a green roof built from downed trees in Bella Coola, British Columbia, Canada. Owned and shared by Carsten Ginsburg.
Wow … I just love that! 🙂
Just add a moss floor in the cabins bath or dining area for a cool touch. Love it
Very very cool! It looks like you’d imagine an enchanted cabin from an Enid Blyton book~~!
Thank you! I feel completely emerged in nature when I sleep there.
Carsten ..Love its simplicity … I have a 3 bedroom square Log Cottage in Bancroft (780 sq ft plus 500 sq ft loft which I can send you pictures of (on thr lake) … Could we “Cabin swap” sometime…. I’m in Vancouver area Feb 25th -March 6th 2019 … I can be texted at 4164584462 Cheers & Best ..Richard W B… Is it Listed or will it just remain “A Dream cabin” ?!!!
Awesome! I’ve never wanted to smell a cabin so much 🙂
I particularly like the mossy roof, how did you encourage it to grow there?
In BC, it’s impossible NOT to have moss…
Wow. I felt as if I took a trip back in time, to witness the log cabin that my immigrant grandparent’s lived in, in Finland! Absolutely perfect…..EXCEPT for that awful, disgusting, out-of-character PLASTIC WALMART CHAIR!!!! lol
Come on! I can’t be the ONLY person who found the humor in this natural setting having an albatross like >that< in the photo! Carsten…get thee to a photoshop program to remove that green chair (replace it with a stump for your photos!) and then, you'll have created your version of Walden Pond. 😀
Come on Robin, else are you supposed to know you’re in the 21st century?
Didn’t even notice the chair – I was focused on the wet paw print. Looks like a great place, thank you for sharing!
Beautiful!
I was thinking it was the cabin by S.A.M.S across the fence that we used to hide in when we skipped out of class
