The shower’s on the website. It’s that corrugated tin siding. The floor plan’s standard now, but I really like how they fitted out this TH! The tiles & Mexican ceramic sink are nice touches, and the place looks great. I’d need an oven myself, and am too old to be stumbling down a ladder to the W(less)C every night, but it’s a sweet place!

BTW, for anti-composting folks: we greeted the New Year here by the toilet overflowing. I’d compare the grossness of suddenly standing barefoot in ice-cold sewage to any composting toilet any time.

And a champagne hangover, too. Feh.

To a fellow desert TH, be sure to keep up with weather protection. Your house will thank you. Looks good!

Thanks… it will be an annual cleaning and resealing. The wood will weather and age and change color but I like that look. Stop by some time when you are in the area.

I’m kindda curious as to why everyone who builds a tinyhome wants to build them for a living. I am just finishing mine while living in it and am wondering how a profit could possibly be turned building these things! Matrials and labor would eat a builder alive! Are people really willing to spend 50 to 75 k and up on a tinyhome? I thought the whole idea was to build yourself and not have so much living overhead. Come on! Who wants to pay interest on a tinyhome loan? If you could even find a lender! Sorry for the rant! 🙂 (atinyhomecompanion@blogspot.com)

I agree, but I have had a lot of interest when building this one. People stopping taking pictures wanting to talk about it, asking questions. Most are interested because of the shows about tiny homes. Most that are in the market either can’t or just don’t want to build themselves. I really enjoyed my time building this one and would love to have the opportunity to build more. I do agree…If you can build it yourself you save a hell of a lot of money. Even if you don’t it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than any traditional house.

Simple and cheerful, well pulled together and not cluttered. The small scale furnishings really help. Excellent job!

Amazing job! I especially like the ‘living room’ area 🙂

Where is this placed? Do you have land that you purchased? We really want to do this but have no desire to live in a trailer park and obviously can’t afford to buy land here as well as build a THOW.

  • Jeff says:

Yeah also curious about the land situation. I am also considering a tiny house in Vegas, what are the zoning restrictions like?

I could never live that far off grid though, need 20M internet. What are the options for tiny houses on grid, a little closer to the city?

Hey Rob, awesome looking tiny house. I would agree the wood over time will definitely be an amazing look. Where abouts are you in las vegas/red rock. Would love to come by some time and take a look if that would be ok.

  • Rob Millar says:

The land where it is in the picture “Red Rocks” is a good friend of ours that allows us to park it there. Very fortunate to have access to such an amazing spot for a while. Unfortunately finding a place to park in Vegas is all about networking and spreading the word. There is lots of land and people that would not mind having a few buck each month to host, you just have to find them.

I live in Las Vegas and want to sell my current place to go tiny. How did you find a place to put your tiny in Vegas?
