This 240 square feet tiny house on a foundation is only about 3 miles from an active volcano in Hawaii. Neat!

First, I want to say how much we love your website — “swoon” is the perfect word!

I would love to submit our little tiny house for consideration. It is nestled on a 3/4 acre, private lot in Volcano, Hawaii, right outside of Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island (and yes, we do have an active, bubbling volcano just three miles up the road!). Little Hale Iki (little house) is 240 square feet and completely off-grid, with solar power and catchment water. We love to spend peaceful nights here ourselves, but also offer it as a vacation rental. It’s great for people who want to get away, reduce their footprint, and try out tiny house living. We especially love that, unlike many tiny houses, the bed is on the main floor which makes it more accessible to people who can’t climb up and down ladders in the middle of the night!

A 240 square feet tiny house owned and shared by Mark & Lucretia Worster in Volcano, Hawaii. More info. here.

Hey Neighbor! (we have a tiny just down the road past Pahoa) Nice to see such a lovely little home being offered on the beautiful island of Hawaii. For those who have never been, come check out this house and visit Volcanoes National Park – it’s definitely unforgettable!
