  • Your house is beautiful. Did you buy property to put it on? I am in Colorado. I am thinking about doing this for my retirement. I don’t think a loft would work for me. Did you have someone build your house for you?

      Catherine,

Audrey rents the Tiny House from me on my property. I finished building it last summer and Audrey has completely fallen in love with the Tiny House lifestyle. We are building a second one customized for a client, and you can see the progress on my Facebook page:

I love this! Do you mind if I ask you a silly question? I’ve been wondering….how do people who live in tiny houses do their laundry? Not all of them are in cities where they could go to the laundromat. Or to friends’ bigger places nearby. I would love to live like this but it’s the one issue that keeps bothering me.

This one is very close to what I’m thinking about building. Getting my wife on board is another story. Downsizing from 3300 sq. ft. to this is a huge challenge. Love the kitchen and a nice size loft. All seems to flow well.

    • thanks for the comment, kebo! downsizing can feel overwhelming… but as a great friend always tells me, “how do you eat a whole elephant? one bite at a time…” 😉 good luck with whatever you decide!

First thing I noticed is this is a lived in home. Small needs to support my life including sewing crocheting and cooking. Being able to identify the essentials was incouraging. Still working on the sleeping. I want this to work for years to come and a ladder may not be practical. Thank you for posting was extremely motivating.

My partner and I have been searching for land in Fort Collins, Colorado to build our Tiny house. Your house is the first one we really like. It is beautiful and the property is it built on is gorgeous.

Would you share who built your home? I’d like to contact them to determine if they could help us find a lot and house plans.

    Thank you,

    Gail

took a little searching, but found the model number for that oven: VCSO210SS

This size seems to be somewhat popular in europe as I found a couple different brands with similar profiles: DOV1145B and CS658GRW1
