Hino housetruck

A classy housetruck built by the owners and now lived in.

I was living in various vans and our truck the whole ten years i was in england so now its just the way for hannah and I – until we buy some land. This housetruck build was our biggest yet and we intended to use a lot of ideas we have thought up over last few years plus ones nicked from others (finest form of flattery eh)

A housetruck built on a 1985 Hino truck built by Alex and Hannah in Nelson, New Zealand. More info. here.

What type material did you use on the roof?

      Hi Tara,
We used butynol for the roof covering. You can get it on a roll from plumbing suppliers and roofing companys. Its a very durable rubber that has great UV resistance. You cut it to size and glus it on using contact adhesive. It can be painted over with house paints too. Under the butynol is plywood.
