I wanted to show you this tiny house that I built over the course of 8 months with my dad on Vashon Island. Somewhat based off an old Tumbleweed model (The Tarleton), it currently resides in Seattle where I live in it full-time. Going into this project I had no construction experience besides building a toolbox (which remains unfinished, actually). It features a marine cooking stove, composting toilet and gravity-fed water system. So far its insulation keeps things cozy with a space heater during below freezing weather. My futures plans include adding gutters and rain barrels to harvest water for general use, a solid fuel heater and installing a solar system.

looks so cozy !
nice build and I appreciate all the creative touches.
Well done and quite cozy. You remind me of my son! Looks the way his would, if he built a tiny house.
Hey I would love to have more information on the gravity fed water system, I have been trying to research it and just not having any luck finding specifics. Let me know if you have any helpful resources or suggestions!
Love this, you are really clever ! Would like one like this here in Vancouver, BC 🙂
Beautiful, Scott. I hope to meet you at the Tiny House meet-up on November 23 in Seattle.
Lovely house:) Saw the comment above and was hoping to get more information on the meet up? I’m a Seattle local and am in the beginning/planning stages of building a tiny house. If the meet up is open to the public and you wouldn’t mind posting details (time/place), I’d sure appreciate it:)
I live in Seattle. Any chance you’re up to showing it to me?
Great job };o)
Tiny house…Vashon…love all of it
love your tiny
Vashon and Seattle. Nice places if you can afford them. Nice house, too. Seattle doesn’t mind you living in a small house? Tacoma whines at me for living in a small house.
Fantastic job on your tiny home! I love all the personal touches you’ve included to make it your own. The mason jars are a great idea to save space, too. Love your idea for gathering the rain water, too. Good luck with that.
Homey,functional,guitars,shroom poster,and Jeff Lynne. Nice.
love the decor–lol, guess the gun was just for good measure
This is really well done. Nicely crafted, well organized, homey, comfortable, pleasant to be in. Love the triangle windows in the loft; lets in plenty of light in a small and very close space. Great job. Thanks for sharing this with us. Enjoyed it very much.
