I love the homes Alabama Tiny Homes are building because the layouts in them are so thoughtful. For example, this tiny house has two bedrooms.

Love the stairs on this house, and the copper railings are gorgeous!

  • That’s the cutest house! I I was all like, ahhhh, but I wonder if anyone around here would be willing to build one like it for me? And then I see where the builders are from! Seriously, one town over from me. Too cool!

    Any storage for clothing?

This was my exact question after I spent too long drooling over the gorgeous details of this THOW…. The design is a show- stopper, but practicality was forgotten. The under stair storage looks pretty small, but there’s tons of kitchen storage you would end up having to use for clothing and personal items.

Very nice…..just a bit surprised they don’t put a cute curtain on a string in front of the washer & dryer…..also why no railing on the outside of the stairs?

I agree about the offending washer/dryer. In fact a lot of tiny houses could benefit from covering them. So much better than having a big eyeball in the room. And a reminder about chores.
This is a cute layout though – with a few odd decorating choices. The sofa would make more sense on the opposite wall, the conical light fixture looks cheap – (an interesting chandelier, and other practicals would warm up the space), one too many TVs, and why oh why does every tiny house have a guitar? Is it mandatory?

I was also looking for some storage for clothes, a tiny house as large as this should have plenty of storage space, I could only see one closet, in the bathroom leading under the small bedroom stairs. I always wonder where you put your wet raincoats and muddy boots , nowhere! Some of the design choices make me cringe. Why do you need a large window overlooking the lounge with the hole so big you could turn over and fall out, turn the other way and fall down the stairs, the design is odd. Equally the space in the small bedroom brings the bed too near to the stairs. I did like the fact that it has a lounge! Something you don’t spot often, you get amazing kitchens and bedrooms but no lounge. This one is lovely but I agree, it should face the other way and the washer, dryer should face into the kitchen. I loved the bathroom, sitting room ,kitchen, but the bedrooms were overdressed making them look claustrophobic and some of the paintwork bled from one colour to the next. Surprisingly though, this is one of the nicest tiny homes I’ve seen for a while, just that some of the design ideas don’t seem to work.

  • Greetings I’m interested in buying a tiny house are any being made in New Jersey or NewYork or Philadelphia PA. Please send me some information as soon as you are able. Thank you Ms.J

Two things irk me about this house. One I take it the water heater and utilities are under the main steps. The copper piping routed to the bathroom looks like an afterthought. Also freaken no storage anywhere in this place??? The washer dryer to me is not that big of a deal. I have seen a number of L shaped kitchens with that setup or one W/D combo unit.

I agree with some of the above comments love the colours and the layout but I have would have had the main lift come out more of the kitchen so the bed could have been turned around the be long ways instead of side on giving more room to get in and out looks a bit cramped and what is the window all about over looking the kitchen. There is an ac unit in the end stairs and a firplace and an another ac unit above the kitchen and a fan could the ac unit in the stairs be removed so the stairs could be used as storage and a beautiful space has an eyesore of a washer dryer cover them up but I do love the majority of the staircases are both great additions.

If it is cold in that bathroom, don’t you dare run hot water in the glass sink! It will crack!

I don’t normally like seeing “model” homes – because they all look the same and you don’t get a really good idea about “living” space.

I love this one! I would extend both lofts further back to allow for closets – but I love the little hidden loft! I would close up that giant hole in the other loft…before I roll out of bed and into the main floor and make that wall for storage. However, I love the way you put in the stairs.

I love how private the lofts are. Your own little get away space in a TH is great. The living space looks like a living room. Looks very comfortable.

Absolutely love the design of this tiny house. What is the cost of this one?

  • Robin says:

Some really nice features. Your kitchen is breathtaking. I love the use of colors throughout. The loft curtains are unique and lovely.

This is by far the best layout I’ve seen in a THOW! I am so in love with this home! I hope my husband and I could have a place like this when we retire! We are both in awe!
