    Way too small.

  • sc says:

I have been watching this build on youtube. Believe it or not, this house is for 3 people! a couple and their little girl, who sleeps in the loft. I give it 4 weeks before they leave it before they go nuts. I mean this is LITERALLY the size of a small jail cell.

  • JC says:

That is a loft over the bathroom??? Do the owners plan to wear all of their clothing at once since there doesn’t appear to be any storage?

    • shane says:

Most every major tiny house design has the loft over the bathroom… I am not sure of the point you are attempting to make…

      • Michaela says:

Maybe she was posing the question where are the stairs to access it or rails to keep a kid from falling off. It’s pretty small, so I had assumed that was the storage solution.

  • KelliAnn says:

Love this little house! Sure it lacks some things but I know I could make it work for me. I don’t know about more than one person living in it. I don’t think I could do it but probably some people could.

  • Mike says:

I’m guessing the plan is to have some sort of accessory shelter adjacent as living space or maybe this is shelter to live in while they’re building something a little more generous?

  • Peter says:

Something to consider when building tiny houses are the amount of windows. Windows will make the space feel much bigger, and less like a cell. Instead of that giant tv in a tiny house, put in a giant window and see what happens 🙂

  • AJ says:

I hope that refrigerator is bolted to the studs.

  • Robert says:

Ugh, what a cheap-looking, joyless box. Jail cells have more personality.

  • Carol says:

I agree storage is an issue, but I think it is great. I could live in it. I do think it would be too little space for more than one person. It would look a lot nicer with some work on decor. Very nice bathroom.

  • Truman Green says:

I hope you will be able to let us know how it goes
in about six months from now. Also, most designers
would have placed the toilet out of view from an
    open door to the kitchen.

    Otherwise, very clever and inventive.

Hi Builder of Teeny Tiny Home Builder:
I really do apologize for all of the hostile and negative feedback from the others. I am shocked how nasty people can be! Take their remarks with a grain of salt. They just don’t know better. I think this is why our world is so dysfunctional, to put it mildly.

As a society we really need to learn to have compassion for others (including animals)! We need to stop treating others as objects (including animals)! Check out sgi-usa.org PLEASE!

This is an amazing tiny house, very well done and use of space. I think the comment about the windows and TV were good. I will be putting this gem in my files for future use!

I wish I new more about you, the builder and if you build these for others!

    Have a nice day! George

  • George Higgins says:

Good comment about the toilet. If there’s a door on the bathroom, just shut the door.

  • hunter says:

The only thing that might have been useful would turn the toilet to face the door, giving more leg space. Other wise leave these people alone. So what if YOU don’t like it, that’s NONE of our business. They built for themselves not us. Gosh sakes be happy for them and quit yer bitch– about this and that. at least they did build it what can you say for your selves?????????????????

    • sc says:

Leave these people alone??? What are you talking about? The builder posted this house, not the owners. No one is bothering the owners. Shake it off, already!
What are you talking about ” NONE of our business.” ???
No one is butting into anyone’s business. When you posted your pictures on a site, one should not be surprised when people comment on it. I feel kinda sorry for the folks who upload their tiny houses and dont get ANY comments. So just back off.

It’s very small but has a lot to offer. Perhaps for camping or traveling with a job. Personally, I would have built in a slatted storage bed/sofa with storage above, and perhaps the frig under the burner with storage above. A lot of elderly people and homeless people would LOVE to have something like this. And at only $10,000 almost anyone can afford one. Then you can make it your own, add on or whatever. Several options when ordering as well. Must we be so critical of everything? This would be a dream home for half of the world.

  • This would be perfect for a low income biotoxin patient! something simple they can control the moisture and water intrusion in their home, live simply and start on the road to recovery. I agree it looks a little small for more than 1 person. But if you re-structure your life to be outside more, maybe you do not need much room.

  • Cindy says:

Gives me claustrophobia just looking at the photos.

  • Lisa E. says:

I’m looking at this as a great travel house, although I’d probably lower the ceiling and pitch the roof. Then I’d add some solar panels and a water production plant. Then this would be totally off the grid and ready for the highways and byways! Anybody know the cost on this little rambler?

  • Angie W. says:

It looks perfect for ME. Or 1 person. One thing I would change is I would build the bathroom or kitchen up a little , kinda like on a platform and put my bed on rollers where I can pull it out at night to sleep on. And then I would use one loft for my clothing storage. I wouldn’t have a couch but a couple simple chairs that I could easily fold up and set in shower or kitchen so I could pull out my bed at night. Being able to pull out a bed on rollers or an easy pull down murphy bed would be so much easier on a disabled/elderly person than having to climb a ladder. I’m on disability with 5 ruptured discs in my back, I could climb a ladder NOW but I will be getting older and my injuries will get more problematic as I age so I have to think LONG TERM. Also on the STORAGE deal you could fix that with building storage in the floor where u can pull up sections to store things. In kitchen it would be canned/boxed food. Living room it would be for blankets, items for bathroom and etc… Something for the BUILDERS to tghink about and maybe make it an option when building the house. But I would LOVE to have this as my own HOME. Being on disability you DO NOT have any options of owning your OWN home with the little bit you get monthly. Most you can do is pay rent to someone else for their place. And not being able to perswonalize it to make it your place. To the BUILDERS if I was able to draw out and change a few things to fit ME could it still be built for 10,ooo.00.

  • Daniel says:

My only gripe is the lack of a closet for clothes, the bathroom layout , the lack of a mirror to see my face & shave, and the lack of a small oven to cook a pizza. If those issues were fixed and this house was $10k or under it would be excellent.

  • gunguru01 says:

I have a 32 inch TV in my tinyhouse. And, watching it up close feels like a 60 inch. My two cents is that the TV should have been much smaller and a shelf for a blue ray or game system on top would have been a better idea. Also, as small as that bathroom is that toilet was waaaaay too big and the shower pan accentuates that. A wet floor was the way to go with a small composter and no sink. That would make that small space doable! Other than that I like it and hope they have good luck with it!

  • Emmie says:

This is incredibly ugly. The size isn’t even the problem — for one person — if the colors, the finishings, and the imagination weren’t drab. And to boot, the builders state this can be yours for only $6,000 DOWN. So how much is this? No idea, but ugh.
