Hi, this is my little shepherd hut, Isle of Skye in Scotland. I rent it out for holidays, so it is ‘lived in’ by visitors all year round….hope you like it!
Owned and shared by Janet Ward. More info. and photos here.
It’s known as a shepherd’s hut, not a shepard hut. They are intended to be moved only very short distances at very low speeds. The one I saw last week at a garden centre in Cumbria, UK was very small, only 12ft long and too narrow for a 6ft person to sleep on the bed that fits across the vehicle. AND it was in my opinion quite hideously expensive > £11,000: http://bit.ly/12xUEQJ.
They are made here: http://www.plankbridge.com/
I LOVE it, the fireplace (such a great size) looks very warm and inviting and the light colors make it look larger than it really is.
The curved roof line is always so appealing. What a lovely little space – nice fold-down table unit and fireplace. Gorgeous surroundings!
