Simply Enough Tiny House

12-foot wide, solar-powered DIY THOW (with wrap-around deck) in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Bonus: Adjacent screen house and fenced gardens!

We’ve lived here 14 months now, after taking almost a year to build the house. We love it more now than the day we moved in!

A tiny homestead in the mountains of Virginia. Owned and shared by Jody Brady.

Just LOVE this one!! The simplicity, the quality, the wood and metal combination and the gardens!!! Wondering a couple things: did you build it yourself and price. Also, do you have a traditional well and septic? Love, love, love it!!

    Really nice.
    Is this 2 spaces?
Are all the pictures in the 1 building? What is in the second building that looks like a sunroom?

STUNNING!! Simply stunning and beautiful. I would also be interested to know if you did this yourself and what the square footage is. I adore the second little outbuilding – I would guess that it is a “summer kitchen” type of design – which I just think is brilliant if you are going to be stationary.

A little frustrated that you don’t show all of the interior. I am left wondering where do you sit while you watch TV. What does the entrance to the bathroom look like, what is the floorplan?

Personally I wish more people would have a real bedroom, however small. Lofts are OK for young people, but hard for an older person to climb in and out of all the time.

    Like this house a lot

I absolutely love your tiny home, the wrap around deck, the fenced gardens, the 2nd out building. Could you tell me the sq ft and how much it cost you to build it? Thanks for sharing!
