Are plans for this cabin available?

  • Deek says:

Yeah, somewhere on a Wendy’s napkin! lol- No, but if you need any help, specs- let me know….its pretty simple, especially with the one-pitch roof…. -Deek

      LOL!

Specs would be nice. Do you live in this cabin? Some aspects of the cabin’s appearance inspired me to dream up a Medieval, half-timber design. I might modify the roof so it will look more Medieval. :p

I’m assuming this was pretty inexpensive to build. That’s something I want.

      • If I had to guess, somewhere in the ballpark of $4000 to build this…. lowest level 5′ by 10′, 2nd level and third loft (non-standing) are each 10′ by 10’….

I don’t live in it full time- something I started building when I was 22…..its in the middle or nowhere- no elec, no running water…

    Sweet!
    Get porcupines much?

  • Al,
    OH yes….
Hence the metal pole-wraps on the cabin….there’s a 2 page story of my war with the porcupines in my book “Humble Homes, Simple Shacks” too- its AMAZING how much damage they can do…

Looks great but I was wondering where you find the land to build a tiny house off the grid in Vermont on a tiny budget?
